CINE Annual Awards Gala

Thanks to all who attended the 2010 CINE Gala!

La Maison Francaise at the Embassy of France hosted CINE's Annual Awards Gala on June 3rd, 2010, where a networking reception with hors d'oeuvres was followed by the ceremony honoring filmmakers and leaders for their work. The ceremony was hosted for the 19th year by NBC's Bob Dotson. PBS President & CEO Paula Kerger presented the CINE Lifetime Achievement Award to Susan Lacy, Creator and Executive Producer of WNET's American Masters Series. Johnathan Rodgers, Founder and President of TV One, received the CINE Leadership Award, presented by Royal Kennedy Rodgers. Erik Nelson, President of Creative Differences, an innovator in reality and documentary television, accepted CINE's Trailblazer Award from Clark Bunting, President of Discovery Channel. CINE Masters Series Awards were also presented to a handful of talented filmmakers, and Kim Spurlock, winner of CINE's Student Award of Excellence, received the Chubb/CINE Student Scholarship and the Kodak Film Award.
